SAVE SPARROWS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE
WHY NATURE
In contemporary society, numerous bird and animal species are facing the threat of extinction, with the sparrow being one of the most recognizable examples. Once a common sight, sparrows are now increasingly rare, particularly in urban environments, where their populations have dwindled significantly. It is imperative that we take action to protect these birds, not only for the sake of biodiversity but also for our own well-being. Each of us has a responsibility to safeguard our environment, ensuring that future generations can enjoy a richer and more diverse natural world.
WHAT WE DO
The Ichapur Swapnapuran Society has initiated a project named Ashiana aimed at preventing the extinction of certain bird species. These birds are facing severe threats primarily due to habitat loss, as modern residential developments in urban areas leave them with little to no nesting space. While they may find refuge in the corners of rural shacks, the concrete environment of the city offers no suitable locations for nesting. The Ashiana project seeks to address this issue by creating artificial nests in various trees throughout the city, thereby providing these birds with the necessary habitats to thrive and survive.
