ASHIANA

Ashiana means home in Bengali, our Ashiana project is to provide homes for birds and save them from extinction. In our country, the number of sparrows has decreased in the past few years, these birds are almost gone in urban areas. There may be many reasons for their extinction, but the exact reason is still unknown. We think that the number of these sparrows is decreasing due to lack of habitat, because in the past there were houses of Kardi Barga in various places and in those houses there were nesting places for these sparrows, now these old houses are being demolished and new modern houses are being built due to lack of enough space Because these sparrows are going towards extinction. So we through our Ashiana project hang fake nests or earthen bones on different trees in Ichapur Metal & Steel Factory Park, adjacent to Barakpur Station, Ichapur so that these birds or many other birds can build their nests in these bones. As a result of our project, the number of sparrows in our park area has increased as expected.
